When we started a group it was called Friends of the Practice. We encouraged patients to be part of the Patient Participation Group by putting up leaflets in the waiting room, notices on the website and asking patients while they were waiting for doctor's appointments.
Only very few patients replied. Out of 6 replies, only 3 attended the meeting.
The Newsletter is already published on our website.

MINUTES OF ANNUAL MEETING (27/03/2014)
The members present were advised of the role of the 4 Consortiums and their role within the NHS.
The proposed new opening hours of all surgeries were also discussed and the patients present felt that this was unnecessary due to the location of the WIC and the facility of the NHS111 service.
The members felt that the benefits of having their medical records accessible outweighed the disadvantages.
The members were offered the opportunity of voicing any concerns or complaints. The only issues raised were the use of generic medicines and the difficulty in parking at certain times of day. These matters were passed to the Practice Manager.
The members present were informed of our informative website.
The consensus of opinion was that the surgery is performing very well and all of our patients needs are being met.
